Fiddes Black Polish
Fiddes Black Polish, traditionally used to create a black or ebonised finish, as with all french polish a well sealed surface is required then stain the wood with black wood dye/stain. Apply thin coats of black polish using a polishing mop or rubber, after the first two coats allow to dry fully then, rub down with 0000 gauge wire wool or 400 grit sand paper. Apply further coats of black polish building up the sheen, rubbing down between each coat. For a high gloss finish allow to dry fully for 7 to 10 days then burnish with Liberon Burnishing cream of Fiddes vita shine For maximum effect, little or no oil should be used when applying with a rubber. Produces a high gloss, black coating with an exceptional depth of colour and sheen.
