Brushing Polish Golden is a dark rich brown french polish which will darken light woods. Manufactured from best quality button shellac, rich and brown in appearance, brushing golden polish is traditional french polish producing a slightly warmer appearance and is a firm favourite with antique restorers and cabinet makers.
Preparation is as always extremely important and special attention is recommended to achieve the desired finish. (See our preparation guide below)
Ensure all areas to be coated are free from grease and blemishes prior to application. Fiddes range of Shellac Polishes are ideally suited for application on top of water based stains, dyes, Vandyke and Naptha Wood Stains.
Application: by Polishing Mop or rubber.
Drying time: approx 20-30 minutes, coverage approx 8 sq meters per litre, the number of coats required will depend on the type of timber and finish required, minimum 3 coats but can be as high as 6 coats.
NB. Always finish with a coat of Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish or Mellow Wax Polish to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of your wood.
