Applied by brush or pad, Fiddes Clear Glaze is exceptionally easy to apply, exhibiting excellent flow and high build properties. Fiddes Clear Glaze also offers a high degree of protection and is ideal for application on to floors and working surfaces where durability and quality of finish are the primary requirements. Fiddes Clear Glaze is available in a Gloss, Satin or Matt finish.
Preparation
Sand the wood in stages, working with the grain where possible. Start with a medium sandpaper (120 grit), and finish with a medium to fine grade (180 - 220 grit). Ensure all areas to be coated are free from grease and blemishes prior to application. Fiddes Clear Glaze is ideally suited for application on top of Fiddes complete range of Wood Stains & Dyes.
Fiddes Clear Glaze may be thnned 10-15% with White Spirit where appropriate. Always stir the contents well and check sheen level before use.
Application

Application: Brush, Pad.

Dry Time: 4 - 6 hours at room temperature.

Coverage: 8sqm per Litre (depending on substrate and method of application).

Coats: Two coats on hardwood, maximum of three on softwood or more porous timber.

Thinners: White Spirit.

Recommended for use on: Fine Furniture, Doors, Floors, Cabinet Work and Panelling.

NB Always finish with a coat of Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish or Mellow Wax Polish to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of your wood.
