Product Description
SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment Concentrate for is supplied in Aquapack™ water-soluble sachets that completely dissolve when immersed in water during the mixing and dilution of the product. Exposure to the concentrate is avoided and there are no used plastic bottles to dispose of.
Each pack of SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment Concentrate contains five water-soluble sachets - enough to make 25 litres of woodworm treatment which will treat 75-100² of timber.
Once diluted, SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment can be applied to timber by brush, caorse spray or dipping.
Product Formulation
The active ingredient in SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment Concentrate is the synthetic pyrethroid insecticide Permethrin, selected for its low mammalian toxicity and proven efficacy against is a full strenght (0.2%) formulation - double the strength of many competing products.
SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment utilizes advanced micro-emulsion technology enabling all organic solvent components to be removed. The surfactant system employed is fully biodegradable and contains no alkyl phenol or alkyl phenol ethoxylate components. A significant feature of the advanced micro-emulsion chemistry used is the very high level stability of both the cocentrate and diluted material. This ensures an even distribution of active ingredient throughout the ready to use material.
Directions
- Dilution:
One 50g sachet of Soluguard Woodworm Treatment Concentrate is required to make 5 litres of ready to use material. For quantities greater than 5 litres use one sachet for every 5 litres of ready to use material required e.g. use five sachets to make 25 litres.
To make 5 litres insert one unopened sachet into 2 litres of clean water within a suitable 5 litre container and shake vigorously.
Once the sachet has ruptured (water colour will change) introduce the remaining 3 litres of clean water and shake once more. Allow to stand for a further 5 minutes before use to allow sachet to fully dissolve and shake again. Warm water accelerates the dissolving of the sachet.
- Application:
Apply by brush or course low pressure spray onto timber at a rate of 3-4m² per litre or to refusal. Any paint, varnish, dirt or other surface coating should be removed before treatment although the surfactant system will allow penetration into damp timbers.
