An Oil based wood dye formulated to offer exceptional penetration and strong colour on all interior wood surfaces. Fiddes Naptha Stains are slower drying than conventional spirit based wood dyes, allowing for a greater degree of flexibility when colour matching or applying on to a large surface area.

Fiddes Naptha Stain is an Oil based (naptha) wood dye formulated to offer exceptional penetration and strong colour on all interior wood surfaces. Fiddes Naptha Stains are slower drying than conventional spirit based wood dyes, allowing for a greater degree of flexibility when colour matching or applying on to a large surface area.


Fiddes Naptha Stains are ideal for using under our range of Shellac Polish, and are a firm favourite with Antique Restorers and Cabinet Makers world-wide. The comprehensive selection of colours/ shades within the Naptha Stain range offer total flexibility for you to create your own individual decorative style.

Recommended for use on: Fine Furniture, Doors, Floors, Cabinet Work and Panelling.
9 coloured wood shades, see colour chart below.
Application: Cloth, sponge, brush.
Coverage: 16 sq meters per litre, additional coats will deepen the existing colour/shade.
Drying time: 6-8 hours at room temperature.
Thinners: Naptha Thinners / White spirit
Pack size: 1L & 5L

Absolute value for money, 5 ltr of the best stain I have ever worked with. My year long project of making a 10 seater table have been truly been polished off with this stain, the colour is fab. I have tried other stains but this is the one. Would recommend this stain to others and the company is very fast at delivery and....well could not be happier.

Naptha stains are great at achieving a really deep rich colour. Used this stuff before from elsewhere, but the service at A G Woodcare is of the best around, so I'll only purchase from here for now on.
