Excellent product and very prompt service. Easy to apply and very attractive finish.

I really like profilan products and have used the top coat before. I like the finish it leaves on the wood and how it repels water. Compared to paint it doesn't quite last as long and I would say you get a good three years of protection and stability. I left it five years this time and some of the more exposed or flat surfaces had flaked away leaving exposed wood (oak). However, with some good sanding no lasting damage seems to have resulted and I gave it three coats of top coat this time (after two of base) to see if it will go further. The vertical and less exposed areas of the windows still had plenty of protection after five years, and hence I think this is a good result. Highly recommend. It is also really nice to work with and being able to put two coats on in a day with the quick drying time is a real bonus.
