Liberon Liming Wax
Formulated to offer a white shade to stained or bare wood. Liming wax produces a traditional 'limed finish' normally associated with period oak furniture. Liming wax is ideal for application on woods such as oak or those normally exhibiting distinctive deep-grain patterns. On application, liming wax fills the open wood pores, offering a contrasting tone and emphasising the grain across the whole surface area, typical of a traditional 'limed' finish.
- Conforms to EN 71-3 approved safe for toys
- For interior use only.
Expert advice for using Liberon Liming Wax
Use a wire brush to open the wood grain. On pine or other softwoods, you can use a brush or a coarse-grain abrasive to score the wood surface.
You can remove any unwanted white haze by using a cloth and applying Wax Polish Black Bison Neutral.
If you need a water-resistant finish, use Liberon Finishing Oil instead of the Black Bison polish.
Apply a second coat of polish and buff the surface, or add another coat of oil.
The more oil coats you apply, the more water-resistant and glossier the finish will become.
You should test the product on a hidden area or spare piece of timber to check for colour and compatibility.
