How to use
Step 1
If the surface is particularly smooth, sand the surface with 180 grit sandpaper. Make sure the wood is dry and devoid of any dirt or grease. Clean the wood with the Wood Cleaner. After cleaning, let the tabletop dry for at least 8 hours.
Step 2
Stir the oil thoroughly before use. *Use a paintbrush to apply a suitable amount of oil in an even, adequate coat.
Step 3
Wait approx. 20-30 minutes at 20º C as the oil penetrates into the wood. If necessary, sand the wood while the surface is still wet with the oil. Sand wet in wet along the wood grain with sandpaper grit 320-400. Next, wipe off all excess oil using a lint-free cotton cloth. Do not leave any excess oil on the surface.
Step 4
Carefully polish the wood using the white polishing pad, which makes the surface more hard-wearing. Repeat the treatment on highly absorbent surfaces. *The oil is thoroughly hardened after 24 hours at 20º C. Do not let the tabletop become wet during the hardening process.
Maintenance: Use Worktop Oil to maintain the tabletop four times a year, or as often as necessary. Always clean the worktop first using Wood Cleaner. Follow the same procedure, but apply only one coat of oil.
Please Note:- Risk of self-ignition: Due to the risk of self-ignition it is important that sanding dust and oil wetted cloths are soaked in water and disposed of in a tightly closed container after use.
