Chestnut Aerosol Acrylic Gloss Lacquer . A quick drying acrylic lacquer which combines the easy application of an aerosol with a multi-purpose hard wearing coating in gloss a gloss finish. Chestnut Acrylic Gloss Lacquer which can be used either straight onto bare wood or over Chestnut Acrylic or Cellulose Sanding Sealers. The omission of the Sanding Sealer will require extra coats of lacquer to be applied. This is a quick drying and very hard wearing product. Available in gloss only Pack Size 500ml

Chestnut Burnishing Cream . A very mildly abrasive cleaner which smoothes and cleans finishes, reviving the lustre of previously polished surfaces and enhancing the gloss of newly applied lacquers and polishes. Especially suitable for use with Melamine Lacquer, Acrylic Gloss Lacquer, Friction Polish. Can also be used as a liquid sander on Cellulose Sanding Sealer before the application of wax or Friction Polish but not lacquers. Available in 500ml

Chestnut End Seal , a ready to use sealer which when dried forms a seal on non-kiln dried wood, thus slowing down the drying process and helping to prevent the wood from splitting. End Seal is an easy to use, safe alternative to using molten paraffin wax. On round blanks the edge of the circumference is normally coated, on square blanks the smaller ends are coated. End Seal can also be used when working on a large item which is being left for several days, to prevent it splitting whilst on the lathe. Available in 1L

Chestnut Food Safe Finish is a clear food grade oil for use with salad bowls, cheese boards and other items which come into contact with foodstuffs. It dries to a soft satin finish with a high degree of water resistance which will withstand wiping with a damp cloth. Available in 500ml

Chestnut Friction Polish produces a high gloss finish ideal for polishing small items. It has a heavy concentration of shellac which gives a very high build; therefore it is not essential to apply a sealer before application, although a coat of Cellulose Sanding Sealer or Acrylic Sanding Sealer may be applied first if you prefer. Applied with the lathe running it dries almost instantly and builds to a deep, rich shine very quickly. Avoid using too much as this can cause ‘rings’ to appear on the surface. Friction Polish can be applied off the lathe with great success, using it like a French Polish and rubbing it into the surface. This does require a large amount of elbow grease (sadly not something we supply) but the end result is well worth the effort! Available in 500ml

Chestnut Lemon Oil, manufactured using lemongrass oil, Lemon Oil gives a virtually matt, non-tacky finish to bare timber whilst enhancing the feel of the wood and leaving a pleasant lemon aroma. Non-oxidising and water-resistant, Lemon Oil is also ideal for finishing the inside of drawers, boxes and cabinets. Pack Size 500ml & 1L

Chestnut Microcrystalline Wax , forms a very dense coating which makes it very hard wearing and highly water repellent, ideal for situations needing a tough coating that might get wet. This wax also have a higher melting point than traditional waxes, a natural choice for wood turners. Available in 225ml

Chestnut Pine Stain , specially selected stain to colour pine before polishing. Water based for easy application over large areas. The use of tinted waxes will help with subtle shading. Available: Golden Pine Pack size: 500ml

Liberon Finishing Oil is a blend of high quality oils for use on all interior wood,. Produces a hard wearing and water resistant oil for surfaces that are in everyday use. Easy to apply and maintain, provides a satin to gloss finish. Ideal for use on work tops, kitchen tables and bathroom furniture also for turned woodwork and wooden toys. can also be applied to cork, stone and terracotta. Application by brush or cloth to a well prepared surface, allow oil to penetrate for 10 minutes then wipe of any excess and allow to dry.
