Active Stain is water based and developed to produce grey special effect colours in oak wood and create a very unique colour. The product is non-corrosive. Active Stain reacts with the tannic acid in the oak. The colour may vary after application depending on the concentration of tannin in the wood.
Available in 2 variants: Active Stain 3 & 4 each producing a different shade of grey.
Application:- Apply an even coat of the stain with a brush or short haired roller along the grain. Leave stained primed wood to dry. De-nib standing fibres with a fine sanding polishing pad before applying the finsh coat.
Coverage: 8-10 m2/L
PLEASE NOTE: 100ml may be in our own container
For further information and application methods, health and the environment see the technical data sheets in the attachment tab above.
