A waxed floor is inviting and gives a room a warm and fresh look floor wax is easy to apply and provides a nourishing and protective finish, the sheen level is usually a soft satin sheen producing a silky feel. However choosing a waxed floor need a bit more consideration regarding its use.

A waxed floor marks easily and if water contacts the waxed surface, it will leave a water stain which is easily removed with buffing or reapply more wax. Maintaining a waxed floor is easy but will require more maintenance than an oiled or lacquered floor.
