White Polish is manufactured from bleached Shellac and once applied is virtually colourless, ideal for use on light woods such as Ash, Sycamore and Chestnut. It is traditionally used when the objective is to achieve a fine french polished finish, whilst also maintaining the existing colour of the wood.
Preparation is as always extremely important and special attention is recommended to achieve the desired finish. (See our preparation guide below)
Ensure all areas to be coated are free from grease and blemishes prior to application.
Drying time: approx 20-30 minutes.
Coverage: approx 8 sq meters per litre, the number of coats required will depend on the type of timber and finish required, minimum 3 coats but can be as high as 6 coats.
