Liberon Wax & Polish Remover
Overview
Liberon Wax and Polish Remover is a non-aggressive cleaner designed to effectively remove old wax, dirt, smoke, and everyday grime from both antique and modern wood furniture. Ideal for use on delicate surfaces, it cleans without damaging the original finish or patina, making it suitable for even the most sensitive pieces. In addition to furniture, this cleaner can be used on interior woodwork, such as doors, beams, dado rails, and bannisters.
Liberon Wax and Polish Remover is endorsed by the Guild of Master Craftsmen and is also safe for use on French-polished finishes. It is particularly effective for removing built-up layers of wax, or wax that may cause a haze or bloom on the wood surface.
Preparation
Before using Liberon Wax and Polish Remover, ensure the area is free of dust or loose debris. No sanding or heavy preparation is required, but it is important to work on small areas at a time for the best results.
Application
- Apply Liberon Wax and Polish Remover using a 0000 gauge steel wool soaked in the product.
- Work in small sections, allowing the wax to soften.
- Once softened, wipe away the old wax or grime with a clean cloth.
- Repeat the process as necessary until the surface is completely clean.
- Allow the treated area to dry fully before applying any new finish or wax.
Aftercare
Once the surface is clean and fully dry, it can be refinished or waxed as needed. For day-to-day maintenance, regular cleaning with a dry cloth is recommended to maintain the appearance of the wood without the need for frequent reapplication of Liberon Wax and Polish Remover.
