Chestnut Food Safe Finish 500ml
Food Safe Finish is a clear food grade oil for use with salad bowls, cheese boards and other items which come into contact with foodstuffs. It dries to a soft satin finish with a high degree of water resistance which will withstand wiping with a damp cloth.
Product Information
- Use: A clear, food-grade oil for use on items that will hold or come into contact with food, such as salad bowls, cheese boards, and chopping boards.
- Not for: Items that will hold liquids or items that have been stained, as this will nullify the food-safe properties of the finish.
- Application: Apply with a clean cloth or brush to bare wood.
- Coats: Multiple coats are recommended for the best result. The oil will not soak in further when the wood is saturated.
- Cleanup: Wash brushes with warm, soapy water. Detergent may remove some of the oil from the surface of the wood over time.
- Drying time: Approximately 2 hours, but this can vary.
