Osmo UV-Protection-Oil is water and dirt resistant. It is moisture regulating reducing swelling and shrinking of the wood.
Osmo UV-Protection-Oil has a large coverage (1L = 24m sq per coat), is easy to apply and easy to maintain.
Available in .75L and 2.5L containers.
Osmo UV Protection Oil 420 differs from
UV Protection Oil 410 in that it contains active ingredients so is not suited for interior use.
To freshen up simply apply a further coat onto the dry, clean surface (no sanding ).
For added protection against blue stain, rot and mildew It is also advisable to treat all bare timber first with a wood preservative either Osmo
W R base coat or Impra
Prevent or for larger areas
Clear Wood Preservative which is available in 5L and 25L containers.
Depending on the species of timber and the directional aspect, Osmo UV protection Oil could last up to 5 years or even longer before a maintenance coat is required, it is impossible for us to advise how long the protection will last as every situation is different we therefore advise you to read our guides on Exterior Wood finishing located in our blog tab which will help you to understand the subject a little more.
