Impra Profilan Secure , a special brush applied tannin blocker primer to combat bleeding of water-soluble tannins in certain wood components. Recommended as a first coat when using light or bright paints on wood either indoors or outdoors. When applying a water based paint system to timbers with a high tannin contents Oak, Idigbo, Hemlock etc tannins within the timber will migrate to the surface discolouring the paint colour. Profilan Secure will prevent this migration ensuring the paint finish will remain its true colour. A two coat application for full protection, plus 1 -2 coats of Profilan Opaq for a true microporous environmental friendly paint system producing a long service life, technologically superior to anthing currently on the market Impra Profilan Secure is a White, water thinnable, micro-porous quick drying primer, not for use on its own. Osmo Opaque Gloss Wood Stain is a unique product, it is an opaque semi-gloss wood stain finish for exterior and interior use. It is based on natural oils it is micro-porous, allowing the wood to breathe but protects against ingress of moisture. It is extremely long-lasting with exceptional weather- and UV-resistance and will not crack, peel, flake or blister. Available in white only, It has a very high solid content (85 %) which accounts for the long durability and large coverage. Covering in two coats, it allows the texture of the wood to be seen. It is highly recommended to treat all bare timbers with Osmo W R Base Coat prior to the application of Opaque Gloss Wood Stain. The ideal professional, low maintenance window finish (easy to renovate, just a further coat - no sanding or scraping). Tried and tested in the harshest environments, coastal and mountains Can be applied to old or new timber and other micro-porous paints and stains that are in a good sound condition.
