Osmo U V Protection Oil Tints designed for the protection of all vertical wooden components,
External elements of weathering fade the natural colour of the wood to a grey patina over time. UV-Protection Oil Tints has been developed to slow this process significantly, with added pigments to 'tint' the appearance of the wood, whilst the wood's natural characteristics remain visible. Contains natural oils and enables a microporous, breathable surface which does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Water and dirt resistant, moisture regulating and reduces wood swelling and shrinkage. Ideal for windows, doors, cladding, fencing and other exterior joinery.
Available in 3 colour shades. The oak (425) will impart an oak/darkish colour, the cedar (428) will provide a reddish colour designed for new and old cladding/timbers and the natural (429) has been designed to retain the natural appearance of the lighter woods with the addition of light/whitish pigments. The Natural (429) if used on dark timbers and old rough sawn weathered wood will trap the white pigments in the grain leaving a milky white appearanca on the surface for this reason we do not recommend this product for this type of application.
For a clear coating use Osmo UV Protection Oil 410 or 420.
All the tints will high-light the grain drawing out the natural beauty of the wood, with added colour to revitalise tired timbers.
Coverage = 1Litre covers 24 m2
