Overview

Liberon Superior Danish Oil is a high-quality blend of pure tung oil and natural oils, designed for both interior and exterior use. It offers deep protection for hard and soft woods, enhancing the natural grain of the timber with a soft, silk-smooth sheen. Suitable for kitchen work surfaces and interior joinery, this oil provides resistance to water, alcohol, heat, and food acids, making it a durable and versatile finishing option.

Liberon Danish Oil is enhanced with UV filters, providing protection from sun damage and discolouration, which makes it an excellent choice for exterior wood.

Please note that Liberon Danish Oil will darken lighter-coloured woods.

Preparation

Before applying Liberon Danish Oil, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any old finishes. For best results, lightly sand the surface to ensure proper adhesion to the oil.

Application

For Interior Use

  1. Stir the oil thoroughly before and during use.
  2. Apply a minimum of 3 thin coats using a brush or lint-free cloth.
  3. Allow each coat to penetrate the wood for 5-10 minutes, then remove any excess oil with a clean cloth.
  4. Let the surface dry completely before applying the next coat.

For Exterior Use

  1. Apply a minimum of 4 coats for optimal protection.
  2. Follow the same process as for interior use, ensuring each coat is evenly applied and well-ventilated during drying.

To increase the sheen level, an additional coat may be applied after the initial layers have dried.
