Rustins Knotting
Seals knots in resinous wood such as pine. Helps to stabilise resinous woods prior to painting or varnishing also helps minimise the discolouration of paint finishes. Based on pure shellac and alcohol and is brown in colour. (See white knotting if white or light coloured paint are being used)
Ensure surface is clean and dry, then apply two coats direct on to knots, allow to dry approx 1 hours between coats, allow to dry before the application of your chosen finish.
