Osmo Polyx Oil Tints

Osmo Polyx Oil Tints are an efficient solution for enhancing the beauty of wood floors and various other wood finishing techniques. Available in shades including Honey, Amber, Terra, and speciality tones like White, Graphite, Black, Silver, and Gold, these tints bring out the natural beauty of wood such as pine and oak, offering a rich, even colour and a luxurious finish.

Preparation

Wooden surfaces should be clean and dry. Free from any previous finishes and sanded to 120 - 150 grit (220-240 grit for furniture). Osmo Wood Filler can be used where small cracks and holes are present prior to the application of Osmo Polyx Oil Tints. Remove any dust prior to application. No thinning is required, these tints are ready for immediate use, making them perfect for quick and effective application.

Application

Osmo Polyx Oil Tints are ideal for various wood finishing techniques, providing an even, luxurious finish. They can be applied with a brush, microfibre roller or cloth. Apply thin even coats, working along the wood grain. A second coat can be applied for a stronger colour.

For a light leached effect, apply just the one coat and wipe it back, wiping along the grain, with a cloth after 20 minutes. Applying a layer of clear Osmo Polyx Oil after 24 hours will offer a superior finish, with enhanced lustre and durability.

Aftercare

Osmo Polyx Oil Tints offer robust protection against spills and are easy to maintain. They are also eco-friendly and safe, suitable even for children’s items. Surfaces treated with Osmo Polyx Oil Tints can be easily maintained for long-lasting beauty and protection using Osmo Maintenance Oil.
